Psalms 96 "O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.

When I was growing up, I had no idea I would be a songwriter! I remember talking to my dad about why we didn’t know any songwriters. I remember asking if he thought the Lord stopped sending songs. One day I found out that the Lord still sends songs because He sent one to me! I was surprised, overwhelmed, and exhilarated all at the same time! And then He continued to send new songs!!! I had to learn how to notate them so others could learn and sing them and much more! Writing the songs He sends has become a sacred time of worship and fellowship with the Lord. I’d like to say that writing a song is like giving birth to a new baby. We do not think it strange at all when the parents of the child “ooh” and “ahh” over this precious wee one and want everyone to see this precious gift from God.

That’s how it is when the Lord sends a new song! I want to share it with others because I know He didn’t send it for me only.
